About TextKit
TextKit is a compact set of 12 developer and text utilities — the small tools you reach for several times a day. Formatting a JSON payload. Turning it into CSV. Encoding a string, checking a diff, counting words, minting a UUID or a password worth using. One job per page, no setup, no ceremony.
The architecture is the privacy policy
A conventional online tool uploads your input to a server, processes it there and ships the answer back. TextKit tools arrive in your browser as JavaScript and run entirely on your device. There is no processing server and no upload endpoint — nothing to intercept, log or leak. Privacy here is not a promise in a document; it is a property of how the site is built.
Two useful side effects follow. The tools answer instantly, because there is no network round trip. And once a page has loaded, it keeps working offline, because there is nothing remote left to call.
Honest limits
Browser tools are the wrong answer for some jobs. Multi-gigabyte files, heavy batch work and anything that needs a shared team workspace belong in dedicated software. TextKit aims at the everyday majority instead: a payload to inspect, a string to encode, a draft to measure — settled in seconds, then the tab closes.

Illustrations made in-house for TextKit — drawn as simple vector graphics, no stock imagery. The tools themselves stand on standard, public specifications: the JSON grammar, RFC 4648 Base64, the SHA family, RFC 4122 UUIDs and the Web Crypto API.
