Case Converter
Every ecosystem guards its own naming convention: JavaScript expects camelCase, Python prefers snake_case, constants shout in CONSTANT_CASE and URLs speak kebab-case. This converter moves identifiers and prose between nine styles in one click, and it splits words intelligently — whether the input uses spaces, underscores, hyphens or camel humps.
How to use it
- Paste the identifier or text you want to restyle.
- Click the target style — the result appears immediately.
- Copy the converted text.
Key facts
- Nine styles: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE.
- Word splitting understands camel humps, underscores, hyphens and spaces, so mixed input converts cleanly.
- Sentence case lowercases everything first, then capitalises the opening letter and the first letter after each ., ! or ?.
About this tool
Every ecosystem guards its own naming convention: JavaScript expects camelCase, Python prefers snake_case, constants shout in CONSTANT_CASE and URLs speak kebab-case. This converter moves identifiers and prose between nine styles in one click, and it splits words intelligently — whether the input uses spaces, underscores, hyphens or camel humps.
Plain prose is covered too: Title Case for headlines, Sentence case for tidying paragraphs, and plain UPPERCASE or lowercase for undoing caps-lock accidents. The conversion is instant and entirely local.
Like every TextKit tool, the Case Converter runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no upload and no record of the content you process — close the tab and everything is gone.
Frequently asked questions
Can it convert camelCase to snake_case correctly?
Yes. The splitter recognises the hump boundaries, so monthlyActiveUsers becomes monthly_active_users — not a single mangled token.
Which style should database columns and URLs use?
snake_case is the database convention; kebab-case is the URL convention (underscores can be hard to see in underlined links). Constants in most languages use CONSTANT_CASE.
What does Title Case do to small words like "and" and "the"?
This converter capitalises every word, including small ones — it is a mechanical title case, not a style-guide-aware one. Adjust minor words by hand if your house style requires it.
