JSON to CSV Converter

APIs answer in JSON, but spreadsheets, reports and half the import wizards on earth want CSV. This converter bridges the gap: feed it an array of objects and it builds a CSV whose header row is the union of every key in the data, with values quoted properly whenever they contain commas, quotes or line breaks.

About this tool

APIs answer in JSON, but spreadsheets, reports and half the import wizards on earth want CSV. This converter bridges the gap: feed it an array of objects and it builds a CSV whose header row is the union of every key in the data, with values quoted properly whenever they contain commas, quotes or line breaks.

Values that are themselves objects or arrays do not get flattened or dropped — they are written into their cell as a compact JSON string, so the information survives the trip. And like everything on TextKit, the conversion happens in your browser, which matters when the export contains customer or internal data.

Like every TextKit tool, the JSON to CSV Converter runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no upload and no record of the content you process — close the tab and everything is gone.

Frequently asked questions

What if some objects have keys the others do not?

Every key found anywhere in the array becomes a column. Rows that lack a key get an empty cell in that column, so the table stays rectangular.

How are nested objects and arrays handled?

They are serialized as compact JSON and placed in the cell as text (quoted as CSV requires). Nothing is silently discarded, and you can still read the structure.

Can I convert a single JSON object?

Yes. A lone object converts to a header row plus one data row.

What does the Download button produce?

A plain-text .csv file of exactly what is in the preview box, generated locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to create it.
